The one that kills you.
The one that kills you.
Best utility belt, best Batman, best Catwoman, second best Catwoman, second best Joker…1966 Batman was awesome.
I’m definitely drunk and it was pretty funny.
I take Adderall (when I can get it filled, the rest of the time I’m just worthless) and I’m drunk on occasion. It’s like the second worst possible speedball. I wake up dehydrated and my mouth tastes like garbage had a wild party in it and threw up.
“So I will quarter-ass this while telling you I’m giving 100%”
It’s unique in it’s looks.
That’s what they said about me.
I did contract IT work for one where one of the staff got in very serious trouble for having CSAM on their work computer. Like a lot of it.
“send in The Clown”
Is that like “Bring Out The Gimp”?
For me this just raises the question: What is a Juggalo?
You’re both right! It started as 7 for the default and changed to 5 because 7 was also the default for the parallel port.
I watched it happen while drinking a refreshing Coca Cola. I’ve never felt so sad and refreshed at the same time.
That happened to a friend of mine. He deleted everything when he had a mental health episode. Took time off. They found his remains months later.
So yeah, could be.
You’re probably right. I’m in the suburbs and I have to make an effort to do the things I mentioned. It’s part of the trade off for living here.
The sole exception was when we had the snowpocolypse a while back and no one had power. The neighborhood got together at my house and we cooked everything that was going to go bad in our freezers on my grills and made sure everyone was eating for days while we waited for electricity. I still don’t know most of them more than to just say hello, but we came together when it mattered and that was cool.
He calls it his lair.
I was too. I surbibed with tribial blain dablage.
Nah, I got kicked in the ribs. Hurts like a motherfucker.
A lot of people don’t and I’m convinced that’s why they want to go back to the office. It’s not that they hate their family, it’s that they’re boring and bland so not only do they not go out and make friends doing things they love, they’re convinced the only way to have friends is to pay someone to be in proximity with them.
I pity those people. On the other hand I have a rich and fulfilling personal life that includes friends, family, solitude, and people I choose to have in my life. I don’t need those folks to fuck that up for me by making me see miserable people who need someone to be paid to be their friend.
Leela: Why are you cheering, Fry? You’re not rich!
Fry: True, but someday I might be rich. And then people like me better watch their step.
No worries! It’s less than half an hour to downtown Houston from here at this time of night and probably right at half an hour from Katy proper.
I grew up in a true rural community of less than 1000. It was half an hour to the outskirts of the nearest city, and that place had 75,000 people. It was hours away from the outskirts of the closest REAL city, Dallas, with 1.3 million people. In contrast, Katy has 25,000 people and sits half an hour from the center of a city with 2.3 million people, nevermind the size of the metro area.
So if she lived on the west side of Katy, she was describing the place as she saw it and that’s not on you. A small place as compared to Houston, and more on the rural side of the suburbs. I take my motorcycle out that way because if you leave headed west it’s pretty empty for a while.
I’m glad that my nephew’s teacher last year sent out a message to allow family to donate to those parties. I’ve paid for a few.
I’m also sad that it has come to that.
Katy ain’t tiny. Well, in and of itself it is but it’s part of the Houston metro. I live off the Energy Corridor. I can be in Katy in a few minutes. I can also be at a dozen grocery stores, an insane number of taco trucks, any type of bar you’d care to visit, escape rooms, several gyms (I’ve recently started rock climbing in one again!), and shit loads of white collar industry for a good paying job within a few minutes. My first IT job making more than $125k was 10 minutes out of Katy. It’s suburban, not rural.
I didn’t mean to multi-reply here but the bigger issues are that it makes you feel good sooner and that it keeps you way too functional way too far into being fucked up so you get much more drunk than intended.
