Currently playing Final Fantasy 16. It’s more good than great, but I’m having fun. The game does spectacle really well with some of the fights and cutscenes, but a lot of the side quests are pretty bland. The writing also suffers from some liberalism

Recently played through a bunch of games on sale on psn for $0.50 or less for the variety. Of those, I’d recommend Shiro. It’s a short (about an hour long) precision platformer with generous checkpoints. It was $0.50, but it’s back to $5 now.

The new Prince of Persia metroidvania looks good. Hopefully the latest Dragon Quest comes out sometime this year.

In Stars and Time - Indie rpg about a time loop. The game starts with the party resting in town the day before they enter the final dungeon. They trigger a trap early in the dungeon and the main character finds themself sent back to the previous day. They’re happy to have another chance to save the party, but their mental health starts to degrade as the number of times they’re forced to repeat the time loop increases. The party is very wholesome, and the time loop story is the best I’ve seen in any game. Highly recommend.
