What this country really needs to do right now is make sure that children are as vulnerable to sexual abuse as they can possibly be. Without some level of sex education to teach them what is absolutely not okay for an adult to force them to do they won’t know that they should seek help and won’t know how to describe what’s happening if they do. Ideal for the paedophiles in power and their friends.
Thanks! I need to post from my more recent trips but I haven’t got round to it. If anyone asked me to help retrieve their phone I would be happy to help, although they aren’t very magnetic so it can be difficult sometimes

So could the other 140 people who became billionaires this year, and that’s not even mentioning all the existing billionaires. I really don’t understand what this focus on Taylor Swift is about.
After encountering blackfly in Strasbourg last year and having legs covered in blistered bites I don’t have as much hatred for the tiger mosquito, at least the reaction to those bites is minimal
Why does this seem to happening regularly for different businesses now?
Not every country in Europe is in the EU
Yeah I guessed that was what they were, I’ll have to check what they say on them and confirm it. I think one might be a .22 LR or HMR but I’m only basing that on the fact it’s small and long!
I’m definitely going to work out a way to display the better condition ones next to the 1911. There’s a good chance they are from WW2, most of the guns used in crime here are old ones I think, so it would make sense that the ammunition is too.
The police seem to not want to really deal with anything that isn’t a serious crime so I wouldn’t be surprised if they just didn’t care at all about me having them. I definitely think it is illegal for me to own them, but I also think it’s illegal to own the frame of a 1943 Colt 1911 that I have displayed in my home office. I’m planning to keep hold of them because they’re pretty cool to find, and I’ll apologise profusely in the unlikely event I do get told off at some point.
The plug from a telephone switchboard is a really good suggestion. One end of it moves in and out and it has what looks like a terminal for a wire in.
The outside of at least some of the casings is definitely brass judging from the colour, but some are so corroded I wouldn’t be surprised if they were steel cased.
Handing them in to the police would probably be a good idea, although the Bobby I spoke to on the day completely ignored me when I told him that I’d been pulling bullets out all day.
My colleague suggested I chuck them in a fire and see what happens but I don’t think I’ll be taking that advice haha
There’s been a lot a bad press for magnet fishers around this unfortunately. I’ve seen multiple articles claiming that magnet fishing is illegal in the UK (it isn’t) and that they guy should have had permission from the land owner.
Maybe he strictly should have had permission, but no one seems to care when we’re just pulling rubbish out. If landowners want to claim they own whatever is sat at the bottom of the river on their land, then they should also be responsible for the costs of cleaning up said river and properly managing it.
Personally I don’t think I would have made my find this public, and quietly displayed it in my home. If the British Museum can just take stuff and display it then I can too.

But alcohol is a heavily commercialised drug…
It got rejected when I suggested it as a name for a Corvette class light frigate, despite it sounding awesome
You love to see it. This is absolutely hilarious 😂
Pretty much exclusively F**kface.
My partner listens to a variety and I do enjoy the bits I hear of This Paranormal Life though.
It’s safe to say that I’m in it for laughs and not much else.
I think it depends where you live, but it’s definitely not common around here. It had been down there a long time so won’t be linked to anything recent. The reality is that the police would probably just take it off me and not do anything with it, and to be honest I don’t feel particularly inclined to help the police with any investigation at the moment since they refused to even look at the CCTV of my roof tent being stolen just over a week ago.
I recommend you read Ian Gribbin’s comments, they’re in another league. I wouldn’t call the first comment about Jo Cox hate speech either, but it is certainly in poor taste.
Malcolm Cupis’s comments are pretty bad too
