I would very much welcome them adding support for HDR content too
I love indie games and fantasy

Afaik most Denuvo cracks are actually just bypasses, as in Denuvo is still there and running, it’s just tricked into thinking everything is fine. However there are plenty of games that launched with Denuvo but had it removed through updates some time after launch that allow us to compare: https://youtu.be/07NMuobVVwQ
Yeah, I’m really bad at structuring my writing and coming up with ways to phrase some things, especially when starting with a blank page. Having an existing base to work off of and edit helps me immensely.
But it is required that you organize your library directories by artist/album.
That’s what killed Jellyfin for me, I have like 6000 songs in a flat folder and I’m not gonna spend the time to reorganize all of that lol. Navidrome recognizes albums etc by tags, so that works better for me.
If you enjoy puzzle games then Baba is You, Snake Bird and Railbound will keep you busy for quite a while.
2.5 years ago there were a lot more games still targeting last gen consoles as their minimum baseline. Newer games that are current gen consoles only tend to fare a lot worse on steam deck.
I don’t use mine super often but every time I do I’m glad I have it. It’s a very nifty machine, and you’ll find excuses to use it.
My guess is that at best they’re going to mirror all the merges happening in the main godot repo with the only difference being the custom branding, but even that they will probably lose interest after a few months and peter out. I highly doubt there’s going to be any unique developments or improvements. And even if they do? The main Godot repo could just yoink them right back lol.
What “freedoms” would they be giving up, exactly? The freedom to become a school shooter?
I’m doing my part, I set up Navidrome on my home server today 💪
Sounds good overall, but I hope that frequently dropping small updates doesn’t discourage them from also working on bigger features. Stuff like the world generation overhaul from the Caves & Cliffs update.
I do also find it confusing that they are bringing a native PS5 version but absolutely no word on an Xbox Series version? This is a Microsoft published game, and they don’t have a version for their four year old flagship console lol.
Not that it matters to me, I’m a Java edition player now and forever, but I do still find it strange.
Modding a modding tool so you can mod more mods. Jokes aside this is really cool. I know Divinity OS2 had similar tools, but given how much more popular BG3 is there will likely be more substatial mods made for it.
I assume you mean all generative AI? Because I don’t think AI that autonomously learns to play Super Mario is theft https://youtu.be/qv6UVOQ0F44

Also great for people who want to take advantage of gamepass.
Ich benutze seit einigen Wochen auf Windows FlowLauncher. Ziemlich nice.
NanaZip is a fork of 7Zip that integrates nicely with the Win11 context menu
HDR and G-Sync on multi-monitor setups are two big things holding me back. And also yeah I like to play CoD and CS2 FaceIT lol.
About a year ago I tried switching to Linux and used Linux Mint exclusively for about a month and a half.
I have multiple monitors with different refresh rates, one 144hz and a 60hz monitor. The problem is that the compositor runs at the lower of the two, for both monitors. In theory it should be possible for a full screen app like a game to bypass the compositor completely, but I could never get that to actually work, games running in both exclusive full screen and borderless were kneecapped to 60hz video output because I had the audacity to have a secondary monitor connected. But even if that did work correctly, regular desktop use would still be kneecapped. Admittedly not as important, but still annoying. I ended up having to use a hacky config tweak to force the compositor to run at 144hz, which worked but also caused tearing on my secondary monitor.
On top of that, X11 straight up does not support VRR / G-sync if you have more than one monitor. And HDR? Completely unsupported.
There are surprisingly many great 3D platformers coming out atm. Last year we had Pseudoregalia, Cavern of Dreams and Corn Kidz 64. This year we’ve had Penny’s Big Breakaway and The Big Catch: Tacklebox, which itself is a free demo/prologue chapter for The Big Catch, coming out next year (and is also my most hotly anticipated upcoming game, even more so than Hollow Knight Silksong. I mean just look at that trailer and tell me the vibes aren’t peak!).
It’s a good time to be a fan of 3D platformers.
