Wait, I thought posting pictures of your thighs was required for running Linux?
Wait, I thought posting pictures of your thighs was required for running Linux?
So I would be best installing it at my nose height?
Our IT often use a Boolean as a shortcut for figuring out things in code. For example, if there’s a charge we don’t apply to some customers, instead of setting it to zero, they’ll have a Boolean on the customer to decide whether they skip that part of the calculation. On top of this, they then name it in a way that limits how many records they have to update, this leads to many settings phrased in the negative, such as “Don’t apply extra leg charges”. As an extra layer on this, more recently they were made aware of the confusion this causes for staff and their solution was to change how end users are the question, which causes the “yes/no” in the interface to read the opposite of the “true/false” in the database
Good on them for cutting down on the pedophilia, it’s always hard to kick a habit

One of my all time favorite movies, but yeah it’s fucked up.
Saw it in the cinema and it’s the only time I’ve come out of a movie to dead silence, everyone just walking out in silent shock
Why do you need dual cup holders? Is that so it can hold an extra large mountain dew?
It grinds my gears for so many reasons, but most of all, it creates a huge vulnerability with little or no benefit to the end user. Needlessly adding extra online exposure, just so they can data mine.
They probably change them to .com as they privatize them
Exactly, she’s probably made a huge profit selling her defence contractor shares and now she wants Biden to stop, so the price tanks and she can buy them back again cheap, to sell at the next war
Lol, I have virtually the same system, though my Craig is called Dan
I’ve worked in admin/IT at a courier company for almost 20 years and most of the time we resisted showing this, even though the technology was there. Driver’s almost always have multiple deliveries on board, and you cannot show a recipient the other locations a driver might have to stop at before the recipients location and when we provided the live tracking, this would constantly lead to complaints about when the customer perceived the arrival time should be. As delivery time predictions have improved, we are now more comfortable in showing this kind of tracking, as we can include a progress bar and ETA. However, personally I feel it’s outdated now, as we can send a notification, either when you’re the next drop or when we estimate the driver is X minutes away - I prefer that over watching a map.
The current plan where I live, is to chuck the bicycles on the footpath with pedestrians.
Thanks OP, you have hit peak shitpost
“… and respect others.” If they actually did that, might not be as much of an issue.
Mostly just old age gets me now, but as a child I was known for being accident prone (also called poor decision making). My two crowning glories would have to be:
Had a small toy basketball ring that I’d stuck to the full height windows in the lounge room. Stepped up on the window sill for the dunk (in socks) slipped and put my knee through the window - the glass only went in to my knee a few centimetres and I lucked out with only needing about 8 stitches.
My brother and I wanted to see how far we could stretch an old tennis trainer, literally a heavy weight attached by elastic to a tennis ball, turns out it was quite far. My brother let go of the tennis ball when I wasn’t ready and it hit me square in the eye. That put me in hospital for a week or so with a detached retina, thankfully I was doing enough that it reattached itself, though wearing a patch for a few more weeks was not fun.
Too late, boomers already bought it all and are renting it out
Maybe $11.99, they won’t actually confirm that till checkout
