Wow that’s quite a price tag. I know some others have gone for high 80k+ but hadn’t seen any break 100k yet. Is this the most we’ve seen original Magic art go for?

I can only assume that the issue is that they’re trying to reduce the number of calls to the original instance. If you’re just scrolling by, you only see the post that’s cached on your own server, and it doesn’t communicate with the original instance until you open the post. Making it so that every time some scrolls by a post it contacts the original instance sounds like it massively increases the amount of traffic to the original instance which goes against the idea of software that supports smaller, self or community hosted servers.

And then they’ll cancel anything they didn’t spam the front page with and blame it on low viewership

Yeah, BFZ block was the last time we saw them in standard. It’s not Standard legal, but Modern Horizons 3 does have new Eldrazi and is coming to MTG Arena

That’s fair. I can always crosspost here too. I just figure it’s nice for people who are only interested in certain topics to follow the ones they like and it lets people check out art without other posts in the way

My personal thoughts, I’m glad to see [[Recruiter of the Guard]] make it in, though I would have also liked to see [[Veteran Explorer]].

In terms of power level, I think it looks like less than MH2 which is good, but I guess I’ll have to see where the Flare Cycle ends up settling. All the best cards seem to be highly dependent on energy which limits their viability, unless a super powerful energy deck emerges I think they won’t be a problem. Still possible that Necrodominance, Ugin’s Labyrinth or Ugin’s Binding could cause issues.

My only real disappointment is that despite Eldrazi being a big selling point, all the best colorless cards look like they’ll work better in Mono-G/U Tron. Kozilek’s Command seems like the only big pickup but even that doesn’t seem like it can handle all the new threats that E-Tron folds to

Yeah it reads as another Mastery Pass but with no free track. I do like that it lets you choose which rewards you want, so you can grab the packs and only cosmetics you like. But it doesn’t seem to have nearly as much as a regular pass but it’s almost as expensive

While obviously a neat cycle for most things, these seem pretty huge for Pauper

It’s hard to tell really, because its power is entirely contextual on the creatures it can access. My guess is their main problem with it is that’s it’s technically colorless, which this fixes
