Hi! I’m British, I like music (grime, garage, hip-hop, R&B, and more!). I like art, culture, history, politics, & doomscrolling memes.
Also a touch of programming :)

So hypothetically what would happen if you somehow ate this
The working class inherently benefits from a stronger NHS. I’m not sure if these changes are the right ones but at least they’re trying something.
You guys know you can block ads right?
Anyway I use Boost because it’s familiar, looks nice, and works great. I’ve tried them all, they’re not as good.
They also support their games for over a decade.
Also you can buy the base games and then just pirate the dlc. All dlc can be downloaded off of cs.rin.ru forums. I do this because modding the games through workshop is just worth the price.
Then you run creamapi to unlock the dlc.
No need to buy them.
The Last of Us. I finished the first game this week so started the series, it’s pretty good. Easy 9/10
It doesn’t hide read posts permanently anymore which effectively breaks the browsing experience imo. I switched to Boost and aside from a lack of gestures it’s pretty on par.
block them or pay for the app, problem solved.
Time isn’t free and development takes a lot of it.
Lemmy is definitely rough if you’re into niche communities, true. So was Reddit in its early years though, to be fair.
That’s not true. I’ve got a pretty active feed of subs, you just need to spend time curating a good list
Just block the subs. Or subscribe to communities that interest you and stick to your subscribed feed.
Just like Reddit, you need to curate your feed. Don’t browser all/local, browse your subscriptions. Here’s a list of subs that aren’t political https://lemmy.world/post/16327122 - subscribe to ones that interest you.
Also feel free to liberally block communities. It’s trivial to do.
Donald “YOU’RE GAMBLING WITH WW3” Trump.
If anyones looking for chill communities to sub to, here’s a fat ol list https://lemmy.world/post/16327122
this is how I feel about people who are really, really into Hearts of Iron IV.
There’s uh, lots more than 2. It’s similar to how there’s English English and Nigerian English, just dialectical differences - some more major than others.
I think it’s still too early personally. I wonder why they’re pushing this now and not later down the line when the game is more fleshed out, feels weird to throw China in the mix when stuff like HRE and Crusades are still lacklustre, not to mention the dearth of Christian depth.
One and the same - I was saying that I wasn’t suggesting what you thought I was suggesting, I was definitely talking about subscriptions. To clarify my question,
reddit.com home page generates posts from your subscriptions (the subreddits you’ve subscribed to).
It randomly selects 50 (or 100 if you pay) of your subscriptions and then populates the feed.
Hence the problem: if you subscribe to inactive subreddits, some of the 50 reddit selects are effectively duds; they’re not doing anything and are taking up spots that other active subreddits could have. Your home feed is therefore de-facto hindered if you subscribe to inactive subreddits.
I was wondering if this is also the case on Lemmy.
trump meeting ally without antagonising them (challenge) (impossible)
My absolute favourite is when your password is too long but they don’t tell you that, I guess because they weren’t expecting it. It only causes a hitch when you later try to login and it doesn’t let you …
