I suspect I’m pretty much the only market for this thing. I can play while in bed, which is where most of switch gaming currently happens. The price is probably reasonable for what it cost them, but they need to explain why anyone besides me would want one.

Yes, but no. If you are married and only have joint accounts, you can’t do much to prevent the other person from withdrawing from those accounts until you get into see the magistrate. At a minimum, you should have a separate account if you are paid by direct deposit.

My friend group fractured and faded because of the divorce, and I was in no shape to function beyond keeping my job. I got the kids back full time after 2 years of absolutely bleak desolation. I focused on the kids and job for the next 10 years. Right now I’m crawling out my isolation a bit, but only a bit. My kids are now grumpy teenagers who can mostly take care of themselves, and I’m left wondering “what now?”.
I dunno. Some of the kids activities allowed a bit of socialization around the fringe, but I’m gun shy to the point of not being very willing to engage. Dating probably isn’t an option, I’ve seen things that can’t be unseen. I like my work friends a lot, but work friends aren’t the same as personal friends. I’m not sure what happens from this point, but I’ve got options if I have the effort and willingness to pursue them. If.
It’s a fun movie, and the musical score is kind of impressive in one very specific way. Do you like musical flourishes? They put flourishes in your flourishes so that you can flourish while you flourish. Er… The score is very unusual, which makes it kind of fun.
I like beer, I prefer IPAs. “bitter and boozy” is how I describe what I want to bartenders and matchmakers. You don’t like IPA, then don’t drink it?
Meh, hate the game, not the player. I’ve spent half a life and my whole career adjacent to MS, my anger about their products and practices has long since turned to cynical acceptance. Yes, they have over stepped the bounds of fairness and good taste many times, but I’ve seen other vendors do so much worse. If you don’t like Microsoft products, advocate for something else. The bottom of the bottle is that Microsoft has a duty to pursue profit for it’s shareholders, and some of that will be ugly. These days there are workable alternatives for everything they sell, which wasn’t always the case.
Pretty much this. There is a significant learning curve to kubernetes (or similar, I guess?), but it’s a handy skill to be familiar with. If things basically run but with degraded performance on one raspberry, there is no real need for a vertical performance increase. Adding the second will provide almost double capacity, with some HA added for fun.

Then I am curious, how does it work? I don’t think many people are going to claim thirty cents leftover from coffee on their taxes, but walmart is certainly happy to get the benefit if it can.
This does not surprise me, and I’m not even very disappointed. TotK is essentially DLC, more of the same would have felt cheap. TotK gameplay has some new and interesting elements, but it still feels like BotW with extra stuff. And that’s fine, I loved BotW.
The heart of BotW was traversing Hyrule, the map was the central puzzle (sometimes even the enemy). Once Link powers up with stamina, abilities, gear, and teleport locations, the game starts feeling empty. Because at the same time as you’re powering up, you’re removing reasons to have to travel (by completing quests and such) over the map and removing the main challenge.
The first thing I noticed about TotK was how little I had to fight with the terrain. I was still interacting with the map in a fun way, particularly because of vehicles, but it was trivially easy to do. Aside from the depths being locked behind chasms, there isn’t anywhere you can’t go easily if you want to. I started travelling overland when I didn’t have to, but I didn’t have to.
If they re-tread this Hyrule again, I hope they do Zelda’s Time Sage story. Legend of Zelda without Link’s skillset would be a totally different way to interact with the map.
Anyhoo, I’m looking forward to the next version of Hyrule.
