…how does a trans person get this way? Seems like a huge lack of self-awareness or some kind of disingenuous grift.

Kids are weirdos. I love it, we should encourage it. Kids love each other without seeing prejudice, I love watching my toddler play with other kids, they don’t give a shit about gender or color.

Aren’t there conervative teachers too? Based on their anwser, just going off what the image tells me, there are two possibilities:

Yes -> Being trans is what the children want, after all they are presented with both options. Not presenting the option denies them happiness.

No -> Being ‘woke’ is what comes naturally with education. There must have been something like the first ‘woke’ teacher and all the other educated people where like ‘Yes, he’s right.’. Conservatives should just educate themselves.

What a fucking hag, she does know that In the Flesh shouldn’t be taken as a statement of intent right?

Are there any queers in the theater tonight?

Get them up against the wall!

There’s one in the spotlight, he don’t look right to me, Get him up against the wall!

    That one looks Jewish!

    And that one’s a coon!

Who let all of this riff-raff into the room?

There’s one smoking a joint, And another with spots!

At least in the last 4 years, the guy’s sounding like a Russian plant. Somehow pinning the blame for the Ukraine invasion on NATO and saying Ukraine needed to reach out to Russia and work with them to end the conflict.

The rhetoric that you can somehow make kids trans that would otherwise be cis just by exposing them to new ideas is getting extremely tiresome. Everyone should know that’s not true by now. I’m convinced the people posting memes like this know they’re full of shit and are just dog whistling that they disapprove of anyone different than them, a la homophobes talking about how gayness is “unnatural” when that’s observably false in actual nature.

The rhetoric that you can somehow make kids trans that would otherwise be cis just by exposing them to new ideas is getting extremely tiresome.

Once kids are able to relate confused inarticulate feelings with coherent patterns of behavior, they can begin to conform.

Sometimes, that conformity means adapting their presentation and physiology to their new gender. Formerly cis-presenting kids transition under this model.

Other times it means internalizing their anxiety and closeting themselves to avoid social stigma. Cis-presenting kids delay and decline to transition under this model.

A Woke Teacher encourages the former while a Based Trad Teacher encourages the later.

In Caitlyn’s case, it seems to be disapproval of people like herself. Even after coming out and transitioning… still seems to hate herself.

She’s definitely not in a good place. The people she preaches to are primed to think she’s at best a pitiable freak and mentally ill for being what she is but she’s addicted to being their pet trans woman because she’s so keen to feel more somehow respectable than other trans people.

It doesn’t seem like at all a healthy place to be.

you silly, don’t you understand, someone “finding themselves” is actually just being lied to by big identity, that spiritual retreat that they had last week was probably a scam from even bigger identity.

/s because i haven’t hit my quota for today.

also tiny rant, literally everything is fucking unnatural, go get dysentery, and die in a ditch from sepsis. THATS NATURAL.

An interesting observation from another source: since being straight and white is now the worst thing ever and we, especially the males, are now responsible for absolutely everything that goes wrong anywhere in the universe and everyone hates us for that, any kid unfortunate enough to find themselves in that predicament is going to identify as just about anything else in order to retain some degree of popularity.

The only one who feels that way is you. Even then I really don’t think you actually believe that.

There’s nothing wrong with being a straight white guy. I am one. The issue comes when you fail to recognize that gives you a huge advantage because you’re seen as the default, perfect combination of traits in the eyes of many. You’ll be treated better than others in some forums, on average, just for being you. People who hear that and then say “nuh uh, actually its the other way around because you people are fighting against the status quo. Also you’re brainwashing kids by exposing them to viewpoints I disagree with.” are the problem.

Because every trans person I know is inherently the gender they say they are.

    I guess not Caitlyn?

No but it has a bearing on it. If a trans woman is a woman that was born in a male body, and said trans woman finds herself falling for another woman (trans or otherwise), then surely she is a lesbian, as opposed to if she identified with her body which would make for a heterosexual relationship.

Or maybe we just throw out the whole idea of orientation altogether, (a) because stuff like the above is just too confusing, especially when extrapolated from this simple case into more complex identities and attractions, and (b) nobody cares anyway now that all orientations are considered equal.

No but it has a bearing on it.

          Sometimes. Not always.

If a trans woman is a woman that was born in a male body, and said trans woman finds herself falling for another woman (trans or otherwise), then surely she is a lesbian, as opposed to if she identified with her body which would make for a heterosexual relationship.

She would be lesbian, bisexual, biromantic, pansexual, pansexual, panromantic, omnisexual, omniromantic, or any number of other potential sexual or romantic orientations, none of which have any bearing on her identifying with a gender which she was not assigned at birth. Some trans people find their sexual and/or romantic orientations change after they transition, and some don’t.

Jenner complained about wOkE tEAcHeRs turning kids trans. The person I replied to said tongue-in-cheek that their teachers affected their sexuality. To me, this implied that they considered being transgender a sexual orientation. I was simply correcting them.

Or maybe we just throw out the whole idea of orientation altogether, (a) because stuff like the above is just too confusing, especially when extrapolated from this simple case into more complex identities and attractions

This is a very “I don’t see color” sort of statement. Lumping all queer people together due to being too lazy to work to understand the nuances of different gender, sexual, romantic, and relationship minorities and the challenges each group faces is akin to ignoring the plights of members of minorities races because it’s easier to lump everyone together in a “We’re all part of the HUMAN race” sort of way.

and (b) nobody cares anyway now that all orientations are considered equal.

I assure you, we queer people very much do care, and all orientations are most certainly not considered equal. Maybe you are fortunate enough to live in a state/province/local authority or country where discrimination against people for their gender identity or sexual/romantic orientations is forbidden by law, or maybe you are just wholly ignorant due to being a cishet person and can’t be bothered to learn about discrimination when it doesn’t affect you. Whatever the reason, you are grossly misinformed, and I do hope you are uncomfortable enough that you choose not to remain that way.
