On the Lemmy specific front, Active daily users seems to still be stabilising following the exodus from elsewhere, Comments and Posts both seem to be on the rise though – promising stats all in all.

    They lost me when they multi acct/IP banned me over being super critical over how far they strayed from Aaron’s vision of what reddit is supposed to be.

    Also they are banning low level pr0n subs as a precursor to the tumblr purges to make them look good to investors.

        Ehh, I don’t know. I keep vpn thats not (yet) banned to keep tabs on the goings on. I doubt anyone in the media will report because they are all of the same cloth.

        But all my small pr0n subs were banned and I have an alt acct they don’t have linked to my IP’s.

        -First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

        -Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

      They account and IP banned my 13 year old account after I deleted it lol. They also then banned my lurking/nsfw account that had literally never so much as made a single comment. This was in response to, like you, making some comments about how they were handling the changes. No swearing, no insults, no threats, nothing at all that could be remotely considered as violating the terms of service. The ban message I see is something like “multiple and repeated violations of the terms of service” lol

      That cemented my decision to delete and leave as the right decision. Imagine how angry and pathetic that admin must have been to permanently IP ban a deleted account 🤣. I didn’t even oppose the changes they were making! It’s their product, they’re entitled to get paid and can set whatever pricing they want. I actually had a lot of comments defending their decision and right to do so……and then they permabanned me 😂

      I can get a new IP and start a new account any time I want, that’s not an issue for me at all. I’m not going to though because the site is dead to me now. Don’t miss it at all and quite frankly am happier now that I don’t even visit the site.
