    It is a safe assumption that if you notice engine noise on anything made since 1960 either the muffler has worn out, or someone has replaced it with something loud.

      Uh… have you heard any Harley, ever? No, they’re not obnoxiously loud like the shitbags can make them, but they’re not quiet by any means.

        The new ones are quiet enough that you won’t notice them in the rest of traffic. Of course almost all of them are modified to be illegally loud.
