      Gandalf is an NPC the DM threw in with the party to help them along. But he was way over leveled. In the previous campaign to keep the game balance, he just left with unspecified ‘other business,’ but the players weren’t very happy with that. So this campaign, the GM threw a greater demon at him to give him a heroic send-off.
