    I’m not sure, we still consider Vettel and Schumacher greats. I don’t recall them ever racing outside formula.

    Certainly the more championships you have the less relevant other motorsports are to be considered “great” imo.

      On the other hand a Le Mans or Indy 500 win would cement them as more than “just” a Formula 1 legend.

    Max has the talent and skill to be a great across motorsports. Not saying that Lewis isn’t skilled enough, but Max has already shown how good he is at simracing and interest in LeMans.

      For sure. Lewis hasn’t showed much interest that I’ve seen. Though his work on helping people get into racing is just as valuable.

    well Max is already a beast in GT cars on iRacing which I think shows how versatile of a driver he is

    I realize simracing isn’t real since there is no threat of injury so you can push harder, and most old school drivers probably think of it as nothing more than a video game

    but the physics are more accurate than ever, the wheels and pedals are very close to the real thing as far as driver input is concerned, and the competition is very high level in the top splits
