I wanted to go over a few points related to pricing, stats and the roadmap

Pricing

  1. Sync for Lemmy is completely free with ads (the same as Sync for Reddit)

  2. You can remove ads in the account picker or drawer for a one time fee of ~$20

  3. Sync Ultra also removes ads but it’s not required

  4. I’ll be working on regional prices over the coming weeks

There are now 24k installed users up from 100 the previous day!

I’m going to be spending the next few days going through all of the comments / messages and fixing any crashes.

    I’m so happy to be back!

    I spent a day in the official Reddit app, and it was miserable. So far I really like Lemmy, the content is much richer than I anticipated, and Sync makes me feel right at home, and the ads aren’t too obtrusive (unlike the fucking Reddit app, Christ it’s miserable) I think 20 for the equivalent-ish to pro is fair, but I am from a wealthier country, so my reference may be different to others. Ultra seems steep to me as well, but it’s still way less than the official Reddit app lol.

    So glad for the work you’re doing, and excited for a new chapter of happy doomscrolling and community-building.
