pffft why nerf one thing when you can buff every other thing in the entire game including the enemies. Obviously way easier to do that than nerf one overperforming thing.
Buffing certainly has this place, don’t get me wrong. But recently there seems to have been this narrative about how developers should only buff, never nerf; which is blatantly not true. A narrative the original comment seemed to be feeding into and I wanted to call out.
“Nerfing” can make a game better.
While it may not apply in this case, telling developers to only buff and never nerf can break the balance of a game.
