It’s talking specifically about LGBT people online, who are rightfully less worried about data analytics than targeted harassment. Having a closed space is obviously better for that than a public platform.
Targeted harassment becomes even easier, you’re just adding the $3 fee to the data broker and now they can correlate it between all your internet accounts.
