She’s not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with her.
becca is the best character in all of fiction.
I would agree if Amos Burton (The Expanse) didn’t exist.
Me: starts leaving my key in the door
What anime is this?
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Its on Netflix.
Fair warning. It’s a proper Cyberpunk story.
What does that warning mean? That it’s bad, that it’s good, that it released in a broken state…?
EDIT: Got it now, thanks.
Cyberpunk stories are about corporate dystopias. Not many dystopian stories have a happy ending.
If you’re looking for a happy ending…wrong people, wrong city.
Still a fantastic show though, literally brought the game back from the dead.
I love edgerunners for that, it showed (imo) cyberpunk better.
A lot of stuff clicked for me after the show, while the game didn’t really show it.
The comics are also good, especially Blackout.
That it’s pretty miserable. But it’s really good.
It does not end happily for pretty much anybody involved
Cyberpunk: 2077 is a videogame based on the Cyberpunk TTRPG. Cyberpunk is also a literary genre. When I say Cyberpunk, I mean the genre in which both the TTRPG and videogame live.
The anime is very good but the story follows the tropes of the cyberpunk literary genre. Unfortunately, if you are not familiar with the genre, I cannot explain it without spoiling the story.
It also happens to include over-the-top gory violence that even made me feel uneasy
If you wanna watch it, def do English dub. That’s actually the more authentic dub for this anime.
It’s set in California, so the accents are closer with eng dub. Also in eng dub, Hispanic characters say some words in Spanish, Japanese in Japanese, etc.
