Fuck the Arkansas highway patrol. I drive those roads to work everyday. If I’d left 30 min later I would have been in the middle of that shit.

Uhaul driver is driving like a champ though.

I am pro police in general, which I know makes me some kind of crazy outlier in Lemmy world, but I have to agree with you in this case. Almost every Arkansas State Police video I have seen involves some driving which is clearly dangerous for everyone involved.

It seems like in the Dashcam / FOIA / BLM era, a lot of departments have started abandoning pursuits when it’s gonna put some innocent family at risk of getting crushed in the wreckage, but Arkansas clearly hasn’t got the memo. Also, at 9:00, that one cop fires a single gunshot into the van apparently by accident, and then just nervously puts his gun away hoping no one saw it.

Yeah it’s not good. They have a record of pit maneuvering the wrong people or unjustifiably. They just recently killed an innocent person due to a high speed chase in the middle of Fayetteville.

I haven’t had trouble with many of the local cops. But ASP scares me.

With good fuckin reason. That ASP trooper I posted a few months ago was driving 140 mph passing cars on the right completely off the road, clearly lost control a couple of times, basically was clearly endangering everyone else and I can’t see how anyone can say he isn’t. I get it, you caught the guy who robbed the convenience store or had a child support warrant or whatever. Was it worth it?
