I feel like that SP episode hasn’t aged well. The message seems to be that Al Gore was wrong and just seeking attention. I think we can agree that Gore was spot on at this point.

Its a reflection of its time, society in general didn’t age well there and sadly a large portion hasn’t changed since.

Hmm, not everyone thought he was off base. Lots of folks were sounding the alarm. Corporate interests won the political battle, as usual, but I think it’s a little bit of a stretch to say society in general didn’t age well.

Lots but also statistically very few, today the push is largely driven by millennials and zoomers and we’re still struggling against generations of not giving a shit.

Matt and Trey admitted in a later episode that they were wrong and apologized to Al Gore in the episode.

It was ill-informed at the time, but at least they addressed it.

I was more taken aback by the sheer amount of it. I may have expected more from April O’Neil and the turtles themselves, but the amount Rhino/Warthog pr0n out there in nearly every configuration is kind of staggering.

A bipedal pig with opposable thumbs would be a damned nightmare.

I have a pot belly. They’re mad smart and will fuck up whatever they think they need to fuck up if food might be involved.

Had a spot of a dream where I heard something, sat up in bed and saw him silently leaning on my doorway, standing, staring at me. I’m not trying to be funny when I say that is one of the creepiest images in my head. Still scare myself when I’m half asleep and that image pops in.

Far out. That looks exactly like me except for the hair, muscles and piggy-ness.

Oh gee… no I don’t. So apart from the muscles, piggyness, hair and jeans… and standing in a creepy forest, it looks exactly like me.
