Tit-le.
Same goes for facebook and twitter
Don’t! Use an app / rss aggregator instead!
You can skip many age verification things with Piped, too
Second email?
Doesn’t gmail require your phone number?
You can buy reasonably cheap ‘pay as you go’ type phones to verify with. Depending on where you’re at, what you do is buy one phone that takes sims and then buy a sim and put minutes on it for the number.
This’ll keep you from linking your main email and phone, not like from legal persecution. I think you still have to register or attach a card or whatever.
Does youtube require your email to be gmail?
Oh that wasn’t a requirement when I made mine, and I have mine linked to my phone. But like JoeByeThem said, you can get a prepaid phone. Though I guess if you lose the phone number by not keeping it active, somebody could steal the account.
You can use other email providers to make a google/youtube account!
e: on second thought I’m not actually sure that doesn’t still require a phone number
Voip phone service.
It’s sending audio and sms over the internet instead of over the phone lines and cell towers. There might still be free ones but you wanna anonymously send cash to a service to have several numbers you can use.
E: the solution is to buy an anonymous phone number to use.
You can subscribe to YouTube channels via RSS feed. Just put the channel URL into an rss reader.
I guess if you want to post videos or write comments you’d need an account though.
You can make an account w/ invidious, letting you subscribe and make playlists. If you want to comment or post videos you will need a real youtube account, sadly.
Alternatively…
There are websites that offer fake phone numbers for SMS verification like this: https://www.receivesms.org/
I can’t vouch for any particular site, but that’s how I was able to create a Twitter account without using my phone.
