I remember in halo accidentally shooting a team mate and crouching to apologise. Weirdly in games that bought in waving etc, Day-Z etc if someone crouches i trust it if someoe waves i know they’re going to shoot my in the back

It could also be a taunt, telling you what to expect. From a teammate, it could be “Wait, someones ahead”, or it could be “Imma kill him as he teabags you, and then Imma teabag both of you.” You just never knew.
See that’s a great story, i worry things like that will have gone by the way side now.
