They’re getting there. It’s a massive task and going to take a long time, but the new settings has gotten massive amounts of new things moved over to it in the last few years.
The alternative is you might wait 5 years to get the new one rather than have it now with 40% of the things moved over, and the old one still there for everything else. Personally I’ll take the current way as it’s the best of both worlds - new settings app is easy and quick to use for what it has, control panel for whatever isn’t in there.
I assumed they would try for feature parity at some point, but I think they forgot.
