These fish spook easy and fight hard. They’re smart and can see very well. You usually only get one shot at them before they clear the hole.

Plus they’re nasty.

This one hit right by the boat, so he was still pretty lively when I landed him. Threw the hook flopping around the bottom of the boat, hissing and pooping all over the place.
