I was using Connect until I have found that there are trackers(via DuckDuckGo app) in it from Facebook. Trackers are common in apps, but if there are options available which give same experience without trackers, I will choose those options.
This is probably not true. The app collects zero info according to the dev, the privacy policy, and the app store. The dev has stated that the trackers are from the sites you visit, not Connect itself
That’s untrue I installed Connect and used it for 5min. Stayed only in app and didn’t click on any third-party article link, here is the result:
47 trackers in 5 mins
Yeah all good I don’t want to suspect the dev either but since there are bunch of alternatives available, I’d opt for them than this one. I loved how Connect was the first one to try and implement the swipe between posts feature. Hope it keep doing well in the future.
Is there a possibility that DuckDuckGo got it wrong? Or is the Meta already trying to track users from threads which is present on fediverse? Latter seems unlikely but who knows.
I think it may be down to the UI, for example I preferred Relay for Reddit over the other offerings because the UI just felt more natural to me and that of course always going to be down to the individual user
On mobile, I tried FFox and Chrome… Worked like garbage. I switched to Connect and I am happy now.

I will install Connect again and see if it still gets detected on DuckDuckGo having hidden trackers.

I mean read the Privacy Policy unless the dev is lying, which i doubt since he seems cool, there is nothing to worry about

Give wefwef.app a try in your mobile browser.
What exactly is the problem with browser. Do people just have a high expectation of a platform, or am I just too used to the browser experience?
