As someone who’s very excited about the new season, as most of the people here I guess, I’m really happy that we get to see the gang again and mostly I feel like it’s going to be as epic as it was.

But the history teaches us that spins offs, remake and a long breaks changes things. Cast, directories, etc AR not at the same place they were back then and people change.

What do you think?

I’m going to try and go in with a positive view of “yay more futurama” rather than expecting any specific thing.

If I dislike it, then that doesn’t stop the old episodes existing.

This is my thoughts as well, much healthier than any other approach. Same approah for things like game remakes and Disney live action remakes.

Don’t forget books that get turned into movies. People lose their minds if it’s not the way they have in their head.

The books still exist! Why spend time on things you’re not happy with?

That being said, I’m pretty excited that they’re coming back. Worst case scenario is that I don’t care about whatever they’re doing. Best case is that we get more awesome Futurama!

I choose to go in with extremely low expectations, and if it’s crap then whatever, but if it’s great it’ll be GREAT.

I am just worried that the humour will be softened, which would be a big deal foe me. Therefore Im also going with low expectations. Pls prove me wrong Futurama directors, I beg yee

Like with Star Trek, I’m just happy to have more. The two last season’s of The Office US had good moments even if it wasn’t as good without Michael Scott.

Futurama is my comfort show so it’s always on my TV. I prefer to watch full shows that are over, but I would never say no to more Futurama. I feel like shows are slowly moving toward a finite number of episodes now as the old format no longer holds. I’d bet that a lot of our favorite canceled shows would not have been canceled if they were slated for say 25 or 30 episodes, instead of open ended “seasons” which aren’t even a thing anymore since the huge writers strike back in the day.
