ugh right there with you

I deleted my Facebook account 10 years ago, before it had completely taken over interpersonal communication in my rural area, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my mental health. The improvement was dramatic, obvious, and immediate.

Now most people around here use Messenger for chatting instead of texting, Buy-Sell-Trade groups and Marketplace instead of Craigslist for secondhand stuff, Events to publicize community projects, etc etc etc

It is entrenched here. It’s a bummer.
