I once saw The New Pornographers play in London at The Borderline, just off the Tottenham Court Road. Supporting them was Victoria, BC’s Immaculate Machine. Kathryn Calder, who sings on this track was in both bands. I later found out that she was The NP member, Carl Newman’s niece.
The wiki that knows quotes her:
