I thought lemmy would only cache text from remote instances to avoid replicating images across the lemmyverse. But I’m seeing a lot of images stored in volumes/pictrs/files/
so maybe that’s not the case? Anyone have any insight into this?

Ah, great thanks. That sounds much smaller in file size than mirroring all embedded content.
