Lol, yes but make sure to contribute to the open source community with donations. Paid software is the same but you can’t use it unless you pay. Full time Foss deva need to eat too. It shouldn’t be absolutism. Some software needs to be closed source to be viable. Some is just community projects. Both are valid. However, pirating software from a big corporation that’s hugely profitable is fine by me.
I do like the pro Foss and ultra privacy aspect in general though. It’s making me rethink what I use and consider changing some. Especially as enshittification is getting worse and worse. I used to love the helpful nature of Google apps and services. I feel they haven’t added anything new of note in many years, save for subscription fees and more ad spaces. The competition has caught up and is often cheaper, without the data mining on top. The difficulty in doing so at this point only emphasizes to me how important it is to switch out my valued data, like photos, at this point.
