Almost two years after the start of the war between Ukraine and Russia, the International Legion for Defense created by President Volodimir Zelensky this week launched a call for the incorporation of Spanish-speaking volunteers to the battlefront, regardless if they have experience in combat.
This group, formed by a decree promoted by Zelensky after the invasion of Vladimir Putin’s army, created in the last few hours a website in Spanish for those who want to enlist: “From now on you can apply to volunteer speaking only Spanish. It is no longer necessary to know English and/or Ukrainian.”
As detailed by the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine, those interested will receive a monthly salary that varies according to the task they carry out:
$600 a month if they work behind the front lines of battle. $1,200 a month if they serve in danger zones. $3,300 a month if deployed in combat.
They also note that injured soldiers will receive free treatment and a lifetime pension in case of disability. Finally, for those families who suffer the loss of a loved one in the line of duty, compensation of $400,000 would be granted
Looks like they have decided to fight well beyond the last Ukrainian.
To the last nazi
