Since the last update I can’t upload any images anymore. In the post creation screen it just doesn’t do anything and in the comment screen it complains about incorrect format, pointing at “<html>”

It is possible your image exceeds your instance limit. On my instance(lemme.ee) image size is limited to 100KB and if you exceed that you get that same error.
I uploaded the same image with connect just fine. Maybe connect automatically adjusts?
Sorry about that, the control buttons are getting pushed off the screen on some sizes. We have a fix ready that should be in the next build.

Okay, this is in lemmy.one right? I’ll see if there are some size limit issues we need to handle.
Edit:just tried creating an account there and got a JSON parse error. Is everything okay on that instance?
Edit 2: just tried on lemm.ee as mentioned below, and I get the same behaviour. Looking into it now.
