OK, now that we’ve settled the burning question of whether pulling a fire alarm is unprofessional behavior for a member of Congress, can we please get back to legislating substantive policy for the country? Jeez.

“for using his government position to influence his son’s placement on an energy board” allegedly. Is there evidence of this… No. Did Trump do this exact thing and to a more egregious degree than what Biden is accused of…

Sadder even. Comer’s big bombshell was that Hunter paid his dad $4000 in several installments. Why? Because Hunter borrowed $4000 to buy a truck several years ago and paid Joe back before he was even president. That all happened while Biden was a private citizen.

Joe Biden never got involved in any of that. Why would he?

I have no doubt Hunter received benefits based on his name alone. There’s no good reason for Biden to open himself to liability when his son will be just fine without any explicit help.

Exactly, also calling him a crime family with only two named members.

Of giving his son a loan as a private citizen. Something that is not illegal and is something that all of them have certainly done.

I’m glad they censured him. Anybody who acts beneath the dignity of their elected position deserves similar. Censures will always take time away from the other work, but they can be important, too, as long as they’re valid. Even if they’re politicized and only given out by the majority.

Besides, the GOP wasn’t going to do anything good for our country, anyways. All they know how to do is to create sideshows. It might as well be a sideshow that actually has a good purpose behind it.
