This is an extremely disappointing change. I use T-Mobile but have opted for financing unlocked phones since the option became available. This kills the single biggest benefit of the card for me

So they’re ruining half the reason I got an Apple Card, stupid.
That’s pretty annoying. But Apple Card still gets you 3% back on the purchase, so I’ll probably still use that.
I guess they caved to pressure from the carriers?
