As an Aztec/Mayan native, this game was hilariously offensive to me. I call it shadow of the colonialist.

I especially love how the Aztec goddess and saviour is a white, British rich girl. Thank god she showed up to save us colored folk.

As a Mexican, I found the detailed environments, the size of the cities, and the native language dialogues, wonderful. It’s awesome just walking around and hearing people speak in their native tongues. “¡Marchanta, marchanta, marchanta!” was always fun to hear at the markets.

And let’s face it, if it’s a Tomb Raider game, there’s going to be artifact stealing, murder, and everything will revolve around Lara Croft, it’s no surprise she saved everyone at the end.
