    I don’t know if (fuck this is gonna make me sound old as balls) young people these days can truly grasp how much bigger the internet memes used to be than they are today. All Your Base was fucking everywhere for like an entire year. Not like the persistence of a Rick Roll where it’s always kind of hanging out there as a remote possibility of stumbling across, but more like damn near every other picture or video on the internet was some play on All Your Base.

    Now we have such meme variety that hardly anything even comes close to it’s level of infamy. I dunno, maybe some meme historians will argue differently, but at least that’s my feeling.

      • This meme is old enough to drink. If you experienced it live, you’re kind of old.

        If you didn’t, I’ll share a cautionary truth with you - it’s a much shorter trip from where you are to where we are than you think it is right now.

      It even showed up in software. FL Studio (music production software) had a default text to speech robot voice in its library saying “All your base”.
