Microsoft have been more innovative with their consoles going right back to the start, that’s pretty undeniable. Sony have innovated too, but their console plan has basically been “me too” in terms of features since the 360. Remember the PS3 didn’t even have an online friends list or in-game “guide” - all online games were completely separate and had to implement their own friends lists etc. Trophies copied achievements. PSN copied Xbox Live. Their “elite” controller copied Microsofts. Their adaptive controller (that isn’t even out yet) copied microsofts, etc etc.
It’s not a knock on sony - they don’t have to be innovative, they’re the market leader.
