I at least find 's psychology pretty transparent: he’s desperate for the world at large to approve of him and think he’s cool and funny. Rowling just seems to spend all her time looking for random folks saying positive things about trans people so she can personally attack them. It seems like it would be a really soul-corrosive hobby.
