Mathew 18:6
"but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Mat 18:6, ESVS)
THIS is immediately thought about: the Danes are in no position to be criticising ridiculous ceremonial garb. Also, that’s exactly the kind of self-assured arrogance I’d expect from a German. Also, ok, SOME Dutch are gorgeous, but the rest look like someone replaced their head with a milk crate.
The Danes ask a good question.
Why do they still wear powdered wigs?
But also, why do Danish priests wear Elizabethan ruffs?
Because it gets better reception, at least a 10dB gain.
It represents a millstone.

TIL, thanks!

Uniformity, basically. It’s just part of the standard costume. Same as the robes and the frilly underthings.
