There was a strong disconnect between Wanda in WandaVision and Wanda as the villain in Dr Strange.

One group of people aren’t talking to another group of people.

I thought they were trying to imply that the Darkhold had corrupted her, but they could have done a better job at it.

That makes a little sense. It’s shocking to me they didn’t have showrunners already. Honestly, it’s not just their shows either. Basically everything since End Game has had an enemic third act.

The first three phases had a cohesive story and a planned direction. An endgame, if you’ll allow it.

They were trying to set up Kang and the Young Avengers, but while the Multiverse provided creative license to include whatever characters and stories, it diminished the purpose of each individual story. The spiral of characters and interconnections has become untenable, and opaque to the casual viewer.

Is Man-Thing going to show up as a Nexus Being to host a fights between Skaar, The Black Knight, Fin Fang Foom, Hercules, and the Ennead for control of the Necrosword? Maybe we go afterlife hopping from Eternity to Valhalla to Djalia to Duat to the Dark Dimension with Ghost Rider and Madisynn King? There are too many people, places, and things to track, and it doesn’t seem to be leading anywhere but a massive retcon.
