My comment about Trotskyism/left opposition got removed by the mods the other day for sectarianism, so I will reproduce that here in a more politically correct manner: there is a diversity of leftist opinions and there will always be leftists and socialists who see AES as red fascism, capitalist and imperialist, but this doesn’t make them any less of a communist. Trotskyists by all accounts are legitimate communists, they simply believe that the American imperialism is preferable to Chinese imperialism.

That’s like saying that white supremacism is preferable to brown supremacism or that patriarchy is preferable to matriarchy. It’s a flawed premise based on equivocating between a construct that exists solely for oppression and a construct that within the same framework exists solely to be oppressed

I can understand some communists having a mostly negative opinion on various AES states and modern China. But when it gets to the point they believe it’s somehow worse than American imperialism it’s just propaganda-fueled brainworms.
