Don’t “girl’s swimsuits” and “boy’s swimsuits” promote gender? Aren’t those genders and isn’t that promoting them as someone you buy a swimsuit for?

All swimsuits, by design, are there to cover private parts. That’s the whole purpose.

For everyone’s awareness, this article appears to be a local news article, but is written by “The National Desk”, which is Sinclair Broadcast Group’s centralized source for conservative-biased news stories that they can air on their network of owned local channels. So this absurd quote about “promoting gender” is the best light that they can put on this “warning”, which really says something

What Republicans care about most, apparently, is that that someone somewhere has a boner over something they think isn’t bonerworthy, and even worse, the bonerholder isn’t ashamed of it…

No, their concern is that something that isn’t “straight” might give them a boner

Unless they’re marketing to children or marketing sexual things that shouldn’t be shown to children then they really have no legitimate case.

Also what the fuck does “promote gender” mean? Oh sweet heavens, my child is gonna know the difference between a boy and a girl, oh the humanity
