If it’s not a red flag or a green flag, then it’s probably a beige flag - something odd that isn’t a deal breaker. 🤔

What are your commuter beige flags? 🏳️

Commuter beige flags

I don’t think I agree that this is mean-spirited. Like they specifically say, these are a bit odd but not actually red flags. It’s just meant to be in good humour.

I think I understand the joke, about how doing any of these things is fine, maybe a bit odd but nothing to worry about, so get on board our trains. However:

Standing too close to a platform edge (which the yellow line indicates) is an actual red flag. They already have visual and audio safety messages about doing this. So now they’ve contradicted an important safety message because it’s not a red flag, just a beige flag.

If it’s odd to buy single tickets or sit backwards why offer these options and then proceed to make fun of people who use them? Will it be a beige flag to use the station toilets, or to use the elevator whether or not I’m on crutches or in a wheelchair?

As for the makeup thing, why is it any kind of flag? Can I expect reading books to be added to the beige flag category because I’m not in a library?

I’m totally overthinking all this. Sorry lol.

By being behind the line you’re not ‘too close’ to the platform edge. That’s the whole point of the line.

I think it’s more a scenario like this. Like yeah, you’re fine, but why tempt fate?
