Looking at lemmy.ml, there have been no new posts since you subscribed to that community here on aussie.zone. Currently lemmy only syncs new content from the point you subscribe, it does not pull old content.

On top of that, lemmy.ml is hugely overloaded and experiencing all sorts of issues. So even when new posts are made, there may be delays/issues with content appearing here.

Interesting. I didn’t know that old content wasn’t synced.

I guess I need to start making some new content then.

From what I’ve seen there seems to be a pretty significant delay between seeing posts on other instances, especially if they’re under significant load I’d say. I was viewing this instance via lemmy.world in a different browser and posts and comments that were in here weren’t there when viewed on lemmy.world.

How long should I expect to wait?
I thought it might take a while, so I waited a few days but it still doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

Not sure sorry. I’d say with the servers being under a lot of stress from new sign ups it might be a while. I’m still having trouble even signing in on lemmy.world half the time.

Can’t fix it. This is a consequence of federation and everything being hosted on individually owned servers. The instances that get too big like lemmy.ml get hammered with requests and can’t update properly. We just have to wait for a version update or them to upgrade their servers.
