Honestly, I’d be happy if most bots were gone. Even the “helpful” ones. 12 years on reddit and I can count on one hand the number of self-identifed novelty bot accounts that didn’t immediately annoy me. Oh, you wrote a bot that identifies when a post is a haiku or when the words in a comment are in alphabetical order? Very clever. No thanks.
You can but only if the bot account has actually been set as a bot account in its account settings page. Naturally, malicious actors aren’t going to out their own bot accounts by setting them as bot accounts if they’re looking to do something like astroturf or manipulate opinions through voting.
Bots. Endless bots where you don’t know if the comment or post is a real person. Sign ups need a barrier to filter out bots.

I’ll admit, the uwubot hit good sometimes, its hilarity depended mostly on the context and style of the post it was used on, so it had… some variety.
Bots can be deselected in settings, can’t they? Although they are selected by default.
What do you mean? You can turn off seeing bots here?

It does ask whether you’re a bot when your sign up, fwiw. Still honor system… And I don’t know what difference it makes after sign up
