Not the first time I’ve seen a swallow nest on one of these alarm boxes. I wonder if it’s just a convenient platform, unexposed and out of reach of predators, or if there is something more to it.

I think it’s mostly mud but it looks the same as the poop. I have no idea if they poop the nest or what.
They’ve flown the coop/roost/nest since yesterday.
