      Well … maybe with some subsidies and rising gas prices it makes sense? You can drop a few hundred on gas a month whereas with charging and solar panels it’s quite a bit less.

      But yeah, I’ve never paid more than 18k for a car and bought my last two cash. I’m not getting a second mortgage just to drive an EV.

        I’m lucky enough to still work from home so only drive a little per week, so for me there’s zero point getting an EV any time soon. Switch gas and oil subsidies over tho and I guess we’re talking.

        I mean I’m taking out a car loan soon with my 9-5, but my max budget is 20k. If I made double what I make now I could afford a 50k car, but idt I’d go for it. I could remodel my house for that.
