      Do not call Khalistani separatists innocent “political” people. If India started to house people that commit terrorism and demand that Vancouver or Quebec separate from Canada, or the indigenous Wetsuwet’en started to get sheltered in India, Canada would also label India a terrorist sheltering country.

        The Modi govt actively supports Hindu rashtra and the organizations that spread terror in the name of Hindu supremacism. They had a Hindu supremacist terrorist elected to Parliament.

          …which is horrific and something I literally talked about plenty in the past week, if you checked my history. I have one of the most indepth takes on that subject, being a socialist from India.

          That does not take away from the fact that Khalistanis literally fucking want a whole Northern state Punjab to become separated and become a country of its own. Nihangs are a very specific part of Sikhism that want this, and often commit terrorism here.

          How would Canada go about it, if India started sheltering Wetsutw’en indigenous people, oppressed by Canada for decades, to the point their children are put in Canadian concentration camps and indoctrinated to this day? Or how about Huawei CEO’s daughter and CFO Meng Wanzhou’s kidnapping and house arrest for 350 days on false charges last year, because USA ordered it? (USA is the same country that got Julian Assange extradited from UK and drugs and tortures him everyday, because he exposed USA warcrimes.)

          Western countries can simply stop sheltering our domestic terrorists instead of encouraging their activities, if they want harmony with us. No Indian besides some Khalistan apologists in Sikh sect supports Khalistanis activities. Also, its not just Canada, but UK and USA also shelter Khalistanis.

    The Hindu supremacist Modi govt that has unleashed a wave of domestic terrorism against Indian muslims, indian Christians, Sikhs, our Dalits and other oppressed castes is calling Canada “a safe haven for terrorists, for extremists, and for organized crime,”??!

    I am so angry at the Indian govt’s stupidity right now.

      Indians were warned by Governor Satya Pal Malik, who had worked closely with Modi in the past, that ‘He is capable of anything.’. And we know Sikh solidarity and support for India’s farmers thwarted Modi’s attempts to hand over India’s agri business to his close corporate Adani.

      Plus he’s desperate af to win 2024 elections and a ‘Modi is being targeted. oh Hindu’s are in danger’ victim-card might distract voters from the absolute mess he’s made of India’s once-booming economy.

          Of course Sikhs don’t support Khalistan. here have I said they do. They’re India’s backbone and so Modi govt & its godimedia are defaming them to

          1. create a bogeyman so majoritarian Hindus can be conned to feel they’re in danger AND

          2. as a vindictve response to the Sikh support for the farmers protest that derailed Modi’s favoured oligarch Adani’s plans to control India’s agri business.

            Pretty sure that Sikh farmers have isolated Nihangs away from their protest. Most Indians hate Godi Media to begin with, and we saw in protests how Godi Media people were booed and driven away by farmers from protest sites. The Khalistan flag incident was also quickly corrected and condemned by farmers.

            Modi may use it to fuel his hatred agenda, but the unfortunate part is that Khalistanis have been sheltered by Canada, UK and USA for decades now, with nothing ever done by these “western democracies”.

    Hey is this the part where we ask for proof?

    Cuz all I’ve been hearing is that Canada’s allegations are totally baseless until we provide proof. Isn’t that how it works? Or is proof only required when India is being accused?

      I found it pretty clear you were mocking India’s government for not providing any proof of Canada being a terrorist sanctuary.

        Lol thanks, you got it. I’ll wear the downvotes as a badge of shame, and a reminder to take the time to think before I shoot off a stupid comment.

        Bah, who am I kidding. It’s not the first time this happened and it won’t be the last. I once got downvotes in a newiran subreddit because the OP compared the Iran govt to neanderthals - I felt that homo sapiens neanderthalensis is a bit misunderstood and didn’t deserve to be insulted by the comparison.

    I love the outcome of this. Suddenly Sikhs would stop migrating to Canada, and those over there would face harassment or mob murders, effectively allowing Canada to look like the true oppressive state they are. And it would be very much in character, since they do it to Wetsuwet’en.
