Went to a festival and had 1 day before the festival started. Hiked up the nearby mountain and was greeted with semi frozen lakes and plenty of snow. Being my first time seeing snow it was an amazing day, even got to slide down some of it on my rain jacket.

That is awesome, also that you slid, haha. Where do you live that you have never seen snow?
I live on the west coast of Australia. Highest “mountain” we have is about 1200m. Even in the dead of winter it might get 1 night of snow every 5-10 years.
So to see this much snow was way more then I was expecting in the middle of summer.
Ok, I’ll bite. Where did you grow up that you have never seen snow?
