Thereās a search engine called Kagi and Iāve noticed Lemmy users trying to verbify it by using ākagisā like people use āgooglesā to mean they used a search engine to try to find some information.
Just stop. Itās dumb. Just say āI searched the Internetā or something. āKagisā is not going to catch on. Itās not going to be a thing and it doesnāt need to be.
I had to duck&go what youāre talking about.
Is it duck duck goed or duck duck went?
I love Kagi. If you want to war against Google, I think itās effective to say you āgoogledā something, then show a screenshot of Kagi; Kleenexify google, water down the brand.
An on-the-fence take: Kagi calls it fetch(ing).
I actually started a Kagi trial this week. I really like it, virtually no slop that has spilled over everywhere else. Iām still trying to justify the pricetag, though.
I thought you wrote āfelchingā at first and thought āwell, thatās bold but since they get their results from other engines, quite appropriate.ā
I donāt know, I feel like saying ākagisā makes you streets ahead of the rest.
Better than the weirdo using the letter thorn in place of th. Might as well post in leetspeak.
I once saw someone on here who puts a license notice at the end of all his messages
The silliest part of which is thinking AI companies give a shit. They train on Disney movies.
The what now?
Are you sure itās not just one person doing this?
No, Iām not sure. Havenāt really paid attention to the username to be honest.
We really need a single word, given how often it comes up. I just use āsearchā pretty often, but it is ambiguous.
