I played my first game of Maracaibo yesterday - I think I got the rules mostly rights, I messed up counting the VP of the automa - but I think I more or less won.
I reset the board afterward - it is set up for future plays (probably this evening).I should make a tshirt that says “I think I got the rules mostly right”. I feel like that is one of the top mottos of a solo gamer. Have you played Great Western Trail and/or can you compare it to that? (I haven’t played Maracaibo).

I have played Great Western Trail on Board Game Arena (15 games at 2 players).
Maracaibo has some similarities, it is definitely the same genre of game - but the strategy feels different.
And I haven’t touched the “story mode” - that may be for later.
